Our brief was to investigate options to extend an existing warehouse to provide staff facilities to cater for the needs of a growing engineering business.

The design for a new dedicated staff welfare building providing a new entrance, changing rooms and locker space together with catering facilities, kitchen and a large staff dining and social space.

The structural solution was chosen to be simple allowing the portal frame to segment and breakdown the different spaces whilst allowing flexibility for a different use for the space later in time.

High level light scoops and skylights were incorporated to allow natural light in from above whilst providing a degree of privacy from street level.
