Cornmarket

A Grade II listed building in Louth town centre within the Louth Conservation Area, the existing derelict building will be given new life as a gallery to display artworks and sculpture.

With a narrow footprint set within a land-locked site, extensive discussions with the council and building control resulted in planning approval for the building to be revived to public use on all floors. A bespoke fire rated glazed screen protects the new stairwell without restricting views or natural light.

Works to the street elevation are limited to the repair and making good of the existing windows and shopfront to retain its period features. This project is due to start construction November 2024.
