Located at a seaside town with views across the golf course at the front and open farmland to the rear, our brief from the client was to investigate options for opening up the rear of their detached Arts & Crafts style house to create an open plan kitchen and social space with a connection back to the garden.

Plan options were investigated to include a new kitchen and dining space with a separate utility room with space for boots and a downstairs shower toilet.

3D computer modelling was used to help the design process, testing internal arrangements to maximise the visual connection with the garden and use of natural light.
